How to set any song as ringtone on your BlackBerry
Have you ever purchased any ringtones? Or how about having access to unlimited free ringtones which are the songs you already have in your media card? Follow the sets below to set any mp3 song as your BlackBerry Ringtone.
Many people also have one common question when they first get the BlackBerry – How to increase the number of rings? or in other words the problem they face is, it goes to their voice mail before they pick up the phone. This new ring tones may draw their attention quicker and answer calls quickly before it goes to voice mail.
To do so, you need to have media cards, songs in appropriate format and access to a Computer.
Step 1 : Enable Mass Storage Mode on blackberry
NOTE : You should have Media Card inserted in the BlackBerry to use this procedure
1- Click on Options icon on BlackBerry device
2- Click on Click on Media Card or Memory (for Bold and 8900)
3- Media card support = On
4- Mass storage mode Support = On
Step 2 : Transfer songs to Blackberry Media Card
1- Connect BlackBerry to the computer
2- Double click on My Computer Icon on computer
3- Click on Removable Disk drive (one which is detected as external media card)
4- Click on Blackberry folder
5- Click on Ringtone folder
6- Copy and paste Songs from Computer to Ringtone folder
Step 3: Set song as Ringtone
1- Click on Media Icon on BlackBerry
2- Click on Ring Tones Icon
3- Click on My Ring Tones
4- Select the song
5- Press Menu Key and click on Set As Ring Tone
NOTE: It doesn’t matter how long is the song, the ring tone will use 25-30 second duration only.
