Free DataBackup App Helps you Backup your Data to SD Card
Other than just using BlackBerry Desktop Manager to back up and restoring BlackBerry user data to PC/ MAC, there are many other ways such as using 3rd party apps or backing up over the air through SmrtGuard App. There is also an app called DataBackup from S4BB Limited, which allows you to Back up your BlackBerry data to microSD card or internal memory. The DataBackup App is still in beta however the current version is in fact the 4th major upgrade after it was first released.

I have used this app couple of times, and it worked pretty well for my considerable amount of user data. There are many useful features in this app, the one I liked very much is the ability to scheduled periodic back ups.
