The recently released BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now available in pure white and sunset red from AT&T. Both of these BlackBerry look pretty cool and makes their arrival quite noticeable for coming holiday season. BlackBerry Curve 9300 (codename Kepler), now called as BlackBerry Curve 3G by Bell, would be coming to Bell Mobility in Canada on August 12th. The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is slightly better version of 8500 series devices and as per the leaked sources on the Internet, 9300 will have 3G and HSPA, built in GPS, WiFi with UMA, 624 Mhz processor and 256 MB RAM. It will have 320×240 screen with 2MP camera without flash. Since is doesn’t have 512 MB RAM, it may not carry upcoming BlackBerry 6 OS but chances are it will have hybrid OS with partial features of OS 6.

As per the above latest image, Bell Mobility in Canada will be the first to offer this device and T-Mobile in US and Rogers in Canada will be offering this device too.

So as per the leaked 9300 specs, it hasn’t changed too much from its 8500 series devices, will you switch if you currently have an 85xx device?

With the iPhone 4 officially announced by Apple, what we have from RIM in terms of recently released BlackBerry models are the Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G. Well, if these BlackBerry models are not for you and you are looking for a change with flip BlackBerry devices, (you really liked the old BlackBerry Pearl 8220) you’ll like this video showing unreleased BlackBerry Clamshell 9670. What is more interesting with BlackBerry Clamshell is the early release of BlackBerry OS 6 running on it. Check out the video shown below put together by Driphter.com.

As for as the Bold 9670 specs are concerned, it has a 5MP camera, 512mb of Device Memory, built in functionality for touch screen options, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth a 480 x 360 inside screen, external display, microUSB port and microSD card slot.

Over to OS 6.0, and Driphter confirms the customizable icons on the home screen, plus the addition of the new search tool on the top. Main differences between OS 6.0 and OS 5.0 appear to be the refreshed contacts and media player aesthetics; message categorization lets you color friends and families’ emails so you know who’s emailed just by a quick look. Twitter and YouTube apps are included as standard, apparently.

I am not impressed with any of these BlackBerry 9670 and OS 6.0 as of yet just looking at the video. May be because the OS 6 is still in early beta and Bold 9670 has to go a long way in terms of design esthetic and properly utilizing good amount of hardware and keyboard real estate but what I really like is having a choice of getting a BlackBerry device in many different form factors and style as compared to just one standard iPhone. What are your views on Bold 9670?

The new OS 6.0 a.k.a. BlackBerry 6 navigation and UI is geared more towards touch screen BlackBerry devices and it does look promising in the video other than few bugs in this beta version. It would be very exciting to see BlackBerry 6 running on Bold 9800 on officially released device. Check out the video before it disappears.

As per these latest pictures of upcoming BlackBerry Pearl 9100 posted by Tecnomovida, this Perl 9100 has nice music controls on the top of the device but sadly it is still showing SureType keyboard.  The running OS version is 5.0.0.449 and platform version is 6.2.0.6. With this new blog The Cool Guy Report @Salomondrin today shared some info about a few upcoming BlackBerry devices. If do not know Salomondrin aka Sal, he is the guy behind these amazing videos you have seen before on upcoming BlackBerry models 9700 (Onyx) and Storm 2 (Odin).

1) Blackberry Essex:

It’s a 3G/CDMA/WiFi new version of the already released Blackberry Tour. Aside from the WiFi it comes with a Trackpad and a little "extra surprise" that I bet you’ll love.

2) Blackberry 9100 A.K.A. Striker:

This one is a 3G + Trackpad blackberry pearl. Aside from those two new and nice new features, its slimmer than the upcoming 9700 (Bold 2) which will give the phone that sexier look.

3) Blackberry Curve 8530:

Just like the already released 8520, this one is just a curve, but for CDMA carriers. Expect it to be announced really soon.

Other then above devices, Sal claims that there is a rumor about RIM possibly launching a total of 16 BlackBerry devices in 2010! It’s too much, I think for any mobile manufacture to plan, test and launch that many devices but hey it’s RIM, after changing focus from enterprise to end consumers; if not 16, only 8 could make it to the market then also it’s worth the excitement.

So, are you guys ready for 9700 or Storm 2 before this Christmas or waiting for eligible early upgrade in 2010?

It was last year, Rogers released BlackBerry Curve 8900 and looks like Canadians will have more choices this year to shop during this Christmas season. As per BGR, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and BlackBerry Bold 9700 appear in the Rogers upgrade system. There is no word on price and launch date but it’s but obvious that 8520 should be heavily discounted and 9700 should be in range with existing Bold price range.
